As proudly Australian as its name, this Dwarf Tomato Project beauty is bred from heritage varieties to produce a compact plant with a good yield of sweet, crimson Tomatoes. The fruits are medium to medium-large with just enough juice to be succulent without being watery and they're the ideal size for snacking. As the product of a breeding initiative led by Australians, you can be sure that this little beauty is suited to Australian climates, and if you're a little short of space, the dwarf variety will do well in pots or small veggie patches.

  • Growing Information

    How to Sow

Tomatoes are best sown in trays about 6-8 weeks prior to the last frost. Sow seeds about 5mm deep and keep the soil temperature to about 20 celcius until germination. Once the plants have grown their second leaves the seedlings can be transplanted into larger individual pots. Keep the tomato seedlings in a warm sunny position and maintain moisture levels. When planting out, position the plants so that soil covers the entire stem up to the first leaves. This will increase root development and ensure a healthy strong plant. Plants should be placed in full sun and rich soil.

    Rosella crimson dwarf tomato

Trying a variety of dwarf tomatoes this season. Rosella crimson germinated well on a heat mat, but is very slow growing although the plants are healthy,
Still not planted out as no true leaves formed at this stage. But optimistic that they will do well once established.

Plants are in the ground. No fruit yet. I hope they will be a good processing type. Seed arrived in good condition.
