Old-fashioned Petunias that haven't been heavily hybridized are still a pleasure in the garden. While some of the open pollinated varieties can be a little long and rangy, dwarf mix maintains a neat growth habit and rewards dead-heading with a long flowering season. The blooms are every shade of pink through lilac and purple to white and though smaller than the blooms of most hybrids, make up for it by being borne in profusion.

Growing Information
How to Sow
Sowing Petunias is an art, but its easily mastered. The seeds are very fine, so sow them in containers to maintain control. Mix your seeds with a little fine sand to help you space them apart and scatter on moist growing medium. Firm them for good soil contact but do not cover. Water with a very fine spray or soak your trays from below. Petunias are a little slow to germinate, so have patience.
