Thai cuisine is famed for its herbs and spices, and Thai basil is a major contributor to Thai food favourites. The small, narrow leaves and spicy flavour make Thai basil distinctive – and even when cooked at high heat, it retains its fresh flavour. This herb is a must-have for foodies, and it’s easy to grow too. It has a spicy flavour that sweet basil lacks.

  • Growing Information

    How to Sow

Basil is amongst the easiest of plants to grow from seed. Almost every seed will germinate if treated well, so sow thinly. Just cover to a maximum of 5mm and keep constantly moist until they germinate. Then reduce watering a little. Protect from frost.

    How to Harvest

The more you harvest your basil, the more it produces! Pinch out tips or trim them with scissors. Two young leaves and a tip bud will have the best aroma and flavour. Your plant will replace each tip with a pair of tips, so your harvest keeps growing! Pinch out flowers to prolong your harvest.

Don't give them daily water as they die instantly

I bought these seeds and have seen them grow for a couple of days. Within another week everything died as they were getting water in the morning and the evening from the sprinklers. I have ordered new seeds and will try again if i can keep them alive this time. A new review will follow soon :)

Basil and passion fruit not a good result none germination, the rest of my order brilliant.
