Golden Shallots produce attractive golden-brown bulbs with a sweet, mild onion flavour and excellent kitchen versatility. Easy to grow from bulbs, each planted shallot multiplies to form a cluster that can be harvested, cured, and stored for later use. Their refined flavour makes them ideal for roasting, caramelising, sauces, dressings, pickling, and everyday cooking. A rewarding choice for home gardeners, Golden Shallots are a useful cool-season allium crop that delivers both flavour and storage value from a small garden space.

Growing Information
How to Sow
Plant bulbs in a sunny, well-drained spot with loose, fertile soil. Place each bulb with the pointed end facing up, setting it 2–3 cm deep with the tip just showing above the surface. Space bulbs 10–15 cm apart in rows 25–30 cm apart. Keep the soil evenly moist while roots establish, but avoid waterlogged conditions. Harvest once the tops yellow and begin to fall over, then cure the bulbs in a dry, airy place before storing.
