In the Garden
A native from the mid coast of NSW up to the tropics. The Moreton Bay Fig often grows an immense and dense canopy that make it a great tree for a park or a large shade tree for the backyard, Like most other figs it also manages well in pots and in colder climates can make an attractive indoor plant that is hard to kill.
Propagation
A tropical tree, this species might manage a minor frost once in a while but preferrably it needs to be in a frost free environment. It will also grow best in a humid environment, so if inside, to get best growth, it is best placed above a water dish or it can be misted down with a spray bottle every now and then. Tolerant of most soils, this tree will grow in just about any soil medium.
