A native to much of Australia, the River She Oak has a dense foliage with a an erect trunk and rough dark brown bark. Its medium size make it a popular street tree and it is often used on river banks to reduce soil erosion, or as a windbreak.

Propagation

This species is found through almost the whole of the east coast of Australia and whilst it prefers a moist well draining soil, it can tolerate dry and wet soils as well as acidic soils. Preferring full sun, this tree handles heavy frosts with ease, but also thrives in warmer climates.
