How to Sow
You can sow Mexican sunflowers in containers, but they germinate so easily that direct sowing will be just as good. They just need a light covering soil about 3mm, and though they can do without a lot of water when they are bigger, you will need to keep the soil wet while you wait for them to germinate.

So easy to grow. 100% germination rate and grew to about 8 feet high. They flowered profusely and with regular deadheading the blooms just kept on coming. Great seeds for both experienced and beginner gardeners, they pretty much take care of themselves. They did need staking as they grew to protect them from the wind. Loved them and will grow them again.
