We usually think of soya beans as anything but a green vegetable, but in the East, people have been eating green soya beans as a veggie for generations. Now, the West is recognizing the incredible nutritional benefits of edamame beans. They’re tasty too! Use this opportunity to add a new ingredient to your cookery repertoire, and if you can’t eat all your beans up when green, harvest the bean seeds later on.

    Good beans

I found the germination rate on these seeds to be around 75% and some of the seedlings were a little malformed. Once the seedlings were established the plants did ok - on sewing was hit by rust, but later sewings did great! The seed pods themselves were a little small but the beans tasted great. Overall would grow again because I love edamame but I feel like there might be other varieties that make a more plump bean.
