In the Garden
A very graceful tree, Picea orientalis is well regarded for its deep green foliage and ability to grow well in almost any soil. It is best grown in larger gardens where its drooping and showy branches will have room to spread. This species is also grown in many areas as a Christmas tree.
Propagation
This tree is relatively tough and will grow well in most gardens. It prefers a cooler climate but will grow in all cool and temperate areas of Australia. It is also moderately drought tolerant once mature but will need some extra watering during dry periods.
