The Winter Honeysuckle is a small to medium sized shrub that has a very dense growth habit which makes it ideal as a hedging plant. Whilst deciduous in cooler climates, in temperate climates it will remain evergreen. Its flowers will appear in late winter and early spring and have a distinctive lemon scent. Great as a garden shrub or as a fragrant hedging plant.

Propagation

Native to China, this species will manage in all areas of Australia apart from the very tropical north. It will manage in most soils and does best grown in full sun. It will need regular pruning to control its shape and to encourage dense flowering.
